Grants Coordination
In order to provide the best educational opportunities possible for children of the school division, Henrico County Public Schools aims to seek as many sources of revenue as possible to supplement funds provided through local appropriation and basic aid offered by the state and federal governments. The Office of Grants Coordination (OGC) was created and staffed in the 2009-2010 school year with the purpose of supporting teachers, schools and Central Office departments in the pursuit of external grant funding. To ensure coordination and to avoid duplication in developing grant proposals, the OGC serves as the district's clearinghouse for grant application support and submission. Grants to HCPS support all areas of K-12 education which includes, but is not limited to, academics, enrichment, intervention, student support services, teacher training, and operational functions.
The OGC coordinates and facilitates various services to local schools and Central Office departments in the preparation and submission of high-quality competitive applications. Services include grant searches, project development, application preparation, district approval, and grant workshops. Additionally, OGC maintains a centralized Grants Register database of district-wide grant efforts.
The OGC is located within the Division of Organizational Development, Quality & Innovation, Room 2030, 3820 Nine Mile Road, Henrico, VA 23223.
The Office of Grants Coordination is pleased to present its first annual report highlighting 2010-2011 efforts in the areas of grant seeking, grant partnerships and administrative outreach. Click here to read the report.
