Congratulations to Jared Cherlin who was selected by audition to represent Tucker High School at this year’s Senior Regional Orchestra. Cherlin was ranked 9th on the cello.

Congratulations to the following  students who were selected by audition to represent  Deep Run at this year’s Senior Regional Orchestra to be held on November 9th and 10th at Atlee High School. These Deep Run students were among the 213 students to audition.
Violins: April Paik ranked 13th, Pak Hin Luu- ranked 16th
Cello: David Raposo ranked 3rd

Congratulations to Chris O'Neill and Todd Wharton of Deep Run H.S. for being selected as finalists for the 2012 Times Dispatch/Sports Backers Scholar-Athlete Award. Chris O'Neil finished as a finalist and will receive a $2,500 scholarship and Todd Wharton was the overall winner and will receive a $7,500 scholarship.

The Tucker High music department was recently award the Blue Ribbon Award from the Virginia Music Educators' Association for the second year.
