Henrico County Public Schools (HCPS) wants to ensure that we are providing the best educational opportunities for our students, a collaborative and welcoming culture for our parents, and a positive, productive work environment for our employees. To further the growth and improvement of the school division, we annually collect input from students, parents, staff and local businesses on a range of topics including school quality and climate, effectiveness of communication, engagement in learning, and development of positive relationships.
Henrico County Public Schools received high marks on recently conducted stakeholder surveys. When grading HCPS, 87 percent of parents gave Henrico County Public Schools a grade of A or B.
Henrico County Public Schools used surveys provided by the National Center for School Leadership and added customized questions for students, staff and parents. HCPS developed a personalized survey for businesses. The surveys were provided online to students and staff and in paper format to parents and businesses. Analysis of the results is an ongoing process at district-wide and school-wide levels and a summary report was shared during the Community Priorities Workshop on May 3, 2012.
