Kids 4 Kindness

Each and every day, kids throughout Henrico schools are volunteering to make their communities a better place to live and their schools a better place to learn. Through Kids 4 Kindness, we are celebrating those special students who give so much to others.

Interact Club

Students from Highland Springs High School’s Interact Club came together to help with donations made to the Henrico Christmas Mother. Students sorted cans in the warehouse and organized donated toys to be given to underprivileged children.

“We do a lot of community service,” said Dahlia Jackson a tenth grader and member of the Interact Club. “It makes me happy to know that I am helping someone…and am getting them what they need for Christmas.”

The Interact Club is known for reaching out to the community, especially those who are less fortunate. The club helped with the Richmond Marathon as well as at the Virginia Food Bank. Throughout the year, they plan to do a lot more within Henrico County and the surrounding areas.

“I came here so I could help people who are less fortunate,” said Christal Thompson, another Interact Club member. “It makes me feel good to know that I am doing a positive thing for the community. I’m thankful for everything that I have and I am eager to give back in any way that I can.”
