PRACTICAL NURSING - ADMISSION PROCEDURE |
What
is the Procedure for Admissions?
Rising high school seniors must submit a technical center application and a nursing program application. Adults should apply directly to the School of Practical Nursing. After the application is received, the Admissions Committee will review the following criteria:
• Three educational/work references
• High School Transcript (or GED): Applicants completing high school outside the U.S.A. must take and submit passing GED scores from the U.S.A.
• College transcripts
• Preadmission testing (for adults only)
The applicants are responsible for obtaining official high school and college transcripts. Applicants will be notified when to come to the Adult Education Center to take preadmission testing.
Advanced credit for returning or transfer students will be considered on an individual basis. All admission requirements must be met. At least 2/3 of Practical Nursing II must also be completed to meet graduation requirements.
All applications must be received by March 1, 2013 to be considered for the class that will begin in September 2013 .
