The Hermitage Tech Center library is an extension of your students' home school libraries, The tech centers draw from all area Henrico County public schools. Students will use their home school libraries primarily for their academic research. We enjoy the generous cooperation of the Hermitage High School library, when our students need materials we don't supply. As the tech centers are an option for Henrico County students. So the tech center libraries strive to serve to support our home school libraries.

The library information specialist serves as a resource for both Henrico County Technical Centers. Duties include ordering software, videos, periodicals and books that support technical center curricula. The librarian assists students with employment preparation, research, and helps prepare them for the Skills USA youth leadership competition. The librarian also aids teachers and students in the preparation of resumes, grant applications, scholarships and award nominations.

As the technical center's unofficial photographer and videographer, the librarian records class activity for use in special presentations and for technical center recruiting. She works closely with the school counselor in the recruiting area, traveling to all area high schools to make students aware of technical center offerings, and to show a technical center-produced multimedia presentation.
