What is Compass
COMPASS provides students with a major concentration of study in elective courses
while in high school. Upon graduation from high school, students
will receive recognition for having completed the requirements of their
chosen COMPASS concentration.
Objective
To
provide Hermitage High School students an opportunity to graduate from an
accredited, high-performance high school with a Regular or Advanced
Diploma which identifies a Concentration in a specific field of
study. Each Concentration area offers essential knowledge through
the core diploma
requirements, integrates it through specific elective courses,
and makes connections to real life situations. The vision,
direction, and focus for student learning will be to have each
student graduate beginning in 2005 with a
specific Concentration.
