Henrico County Public Schools Proud to be part of SES
The U.S. Department of Education continues a series of No Child Left Behind Supplemental Educational
Services (SES) Programs during the 2011-2012 school year and has entered into a flexibility agreement with Virginia that allows school divisions to offer SES in certain schools in school improvement. This program fulfills two key priorities: 1) ensuring that more eligible students receive SES and 2) providing more accurate and comprehensive information on the program’s effectiveness in improving academic achievement. The chart below outlines Henrico County’s participation during the past three years.

Supplemental Educational Services (SES) provides extra academic assistance, such as tutoring or remedial help, free to students in the subjects of reading, language arts, social studies, science and math. This extra assistance can be provided before or after school, or in the summer. Parents of students attending Adams Elementary (804-226-8745), Fair Oaks Elementary (804-328-4085), Harvie Elementary (804-343-7010), Highland Springs Elementary (804-328-4045), Holladay Elementary (804-261-5040), and Johnson Elementary (804-673-3735) should contact the principal for specific information regarding SES at the individual schools.
