Senators! You now have a chance to report bullying information anonymously. Please use this link to voice your concerns. It is designed to keep students safe from bullying, drugs, suicide, gangs, violence, and any other threat to student safety. Silence Hurts is not monitored in real-time. Your anonymous message will be sent to multiple administrators which will be viewed during school hours. If this matter involves the immediate risk of injury or is life-threatening, then you should call 911.
2012-2013 New Start Times for Schools

Congratulations Byrd KMO Team!
The Knowledge Master Open is a challenging, low-cost academic competition in which teams of students compete -- nationally and internationally -- without leaving their own schools. The KMO began in 1983 with 72 schools; it now annually attracts over 3,000 schools and 45,000 participants from the U.S. and several foreign lands. - From http://greatauk.com/KMO.html
Byrd Middle School ranked 2nd in Henrico County and 16th in the state of Virginia in the Spring 2012 competition!! What an accomplishment! Congratulations to the following students and sponsors of the 7th and 8th grade 2012 Byrd KMO team!!

Freeman 101!
To all rising Douglas Freeman 9th graders and their parents: On Tuesday, May 22, at 7pm, the PTSA and school administration will be hosting the annual Freeman 101 program. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet school personnel and learn more about how to start high school strong. Administrators, counselors, parents, and students will present different perspectives and information regarding the 9th grade. There will also be representatives from the athletic department to help prepare you for the fall sports program. Again, if you’re going to Douglas Freeman next year, they hope to see you there at 7pm in the Freeman auditorium. The program should last about one hour.
Byrd is excited to be hosting its first Senator Golf Tournament to benefit the athletic department! Please see this flier and more information here to participate in what is sure to be a fun and memorable event! To sign-up online, please fill out this online form.
