April 6 Student Holiday / Spring Break begins

As a part of an HCPS effort to increase student involvement on the website, we have created a section called "Student Zone" where students of all ages will be featured on a monthly basis. We encourage all of you to email us with suggestions of students to feature. The link to the page is below the navigation menu on the left.  Some of our monthly highlights include: Kids 4 Kindness: Students are featured here when they have gone above and beyond in the realm of community service ranging from at school, to working with animals or feeding the needy. How to: This section of Student Zone is for kids with exemplary talents. Any student with a unique talent ranging from artistic to athletic to culinary will be featured here. Students Speak Out: Each month, a different Henrico School will be featured here speaking out about a different topic each month. Past topics have included: texting and driving, reality TV and graduation.

Morning / Afternoon Drop-off of Students

Please move your vehicle all the way to the end of the circle to make room for others behind you.  This is a traffic safety issue, because vehicles block the driving lane on Three Chopt Road.

Invisible Children  - TMS students were encouraged to show their support for the Invisible Children in Central Africa, because there are middle school aged students in Congo being kidnapped and trained to be child soldiers. TMS partnered with students and individuals around the world to bring awareness to this campaign by participating in 25 hours of silence on Monday, April 25, 2011.

To download a PowerPoint presentation, click Invisible Children  to learn more about this humanitarian effort.

We are the TMS Patriots!

A fully-accredited U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School celebrating 50+ years of excellence., we count as a strength our multi-cultural student body which brings diversity and excitement to our campus.  We strive to meet the needs and boost the self-confidence of these young people with programs such as P.A.W.S (Patriots Are Winning Students) - an orientation program for rising 6th graders, TAB (Tuckahoe Against Bullying), and H.A.N.D.S. (Helping And Nurturing Dynamic Students) - a teacher-to-student mentoring program.  Our core values (Respect, Work Ethic, Honesty, and Responsibility) are reinforced with strategies stressing student recognition (the Renaissance program, "Platinum Cards", and A+ Breakfasts).
