The Library is Wilder Middle School’s hub for information! Teachers, staff, parents, and students can enjoy a rich collection of books, audiobooks/playaways, online databases, magazines, and new this year, a Wii video game system! Our library supports the school curriculum by providing resources to the collection and collaborating with the teachers to plan and teach lessons. Students visit the library for a variety of reasons, from developing information literacy skills to checking out books for pleasure reading.
There will be periodic special events to promote the love of reading and libraries! Programs offered by the Wilder Library Information Center include the Breakfast with Books Club, Accelerated Reader, Lunch in the Library, Henrico Reads, Author Visits, Crochet & Knitting Club, and Virginia Readers' Choice!
The mission of the Wilder Library Information Center is to empower students and staff to become critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information.
