Henrico High School dedicates Visual Arts Building

The Henrico High School Center for the Arts held a dedication ceremony on Jan. 10 for its newly constructed Visual Arts Building, a state-of-the-art facility consisting of four classrooms and an art gallery. The art classrooms boast high ceilings, effective use of natural light and the latest electronic media equipment.
The rooms were dedicated and named in honor of Superintendent Fred S. Morton, former Henrico School Board Chairman Dr. Lloyd Jackson, former Henrico High School Principal William H. Parker, former visual arts teacher Jeffrey Hall and Henrico County Board of Supervisors member Frank Thornton. The Visual Arts Building was dedicated to Center for the Arts Chair Lee Hanchey. The program featured an alumni arts show in the gallery, and a reception followed.
